Let the Games Begin in Rochester! Golisano Foundation is Premier Sponsor of Special Olympics New York 2012/2013 Winter Games
November 2011-- Rochester, New York has been awarded the bid to host the the 2012 and 2013 State Special Olympics Winter Games. The Golisano Foundationon is the premier sponsor. Winter Games is one of three annual state games and more than 3,500 competitions held annually across New York. Nearly 850 athletes and coaches will attend. Read more

Golisano Foundation Funds Training for 40 Healthcare Professionals from Several States to Screen Special Olympics Athletes for Health Problems
September 24, 2010 -- With the help of the Golisano Foundation, 40 doctors and other health care professionals from New York, Massachusetts, Texas, Georgia, California, and Washington, D.C., were trained through the Special Olympics Healthy Athletes program to screen individuals with intellectual disabilities participating in Special Olympics events. In addition, Tom Golisano personally donated $150,000 to Special Olympics to expand training in other parts of the United States. Read more
Golisano Foundation Grants $960,000 to Institute for Innovative Transition to Continue and Expand its Work to Improve Transition for Young Adults with Intellectual Disabilities
August 10, 2010 - Ann Costello, Director of The Golisano Foundation today announced that the Foundation has awarded a three-year grant of $960,000 to the Institute for Innovative Transition to continue its work to improve transition outcomes and experiences for students and young adults with developmental disabilities as they transition from school to the adult world.
